The following services (except Assisted Cell Sorting) are offered free of charge to internal users of the MSU Flow Cytometry Core and billed at a University-approved rate for external users.
Cell sorting services are offered through the Core Facility. Independent training is available for SONY MA900 for those who have previous conventional flow cytometry training. Please schedule a meeting with Core Staff to begin your sorting consult.
We can assist with experimental and protocol design and offer assistance in assay protocol drafting, reagent recommendations, to proper control recommendations. Book a Project Meeting with us if you are planning a flow experiment but do not know where to begin.
The Core Facility offers consultation services in multi-parametric panel design for both conventional and spectral cytometers. Additionally, Core Facility staff can connect you with Cytek, BioLegend, and Thermo Scientific Application Scientists, who can further assist in Aurora panel design.
The Core Facility offers training in use of post-acquisition data analysis software packages using either FCS Express or FlowJo as well as consultation services in data analysis and interpretation.
If you are submitting a manuscript to a journal that contains flow cytometry data acquired in the MSU Flow Cytometry Core Facility, we will gladly perform a high-level review and provide feedback on relevant sections. Additionally, we are also providing free review services for flow cytometric endpoints on upcoming grant submissions.
